The Dales Bonnie Brook is a new 265 lot residential subdivision located in Melbourne's growing outer western suburbs and managed by leading Australian home builder, Henley.
RDLA's team have been involved as the Landscape Architects for the project since 2017. Our team prepared the initial project Landscape Masterplan in collaboration with the consultant team as part of the town planning application. We also engaged and liaised with Melton City Council throughout the town planning process and assisted to secure Council endorsement for the scheme.
The site features a number of heritage basalt dry stone walls and we worked with heritage consultants, town planners, Council officers and specialist walling builders to retain these features and integrate them into the new reserve designs, constructing new end walls and renovating the existing stone on site.
The Dales is still under construction and we have assisted to design and document the streetscape and reserve landscape works, successfully securing Council endorsement for Stages 1-4. Further stages are under way.
Our role is ongoing as the development takes shape on the ground with new homes occupied, and others under construction. The first of the streetscape tree planting and reserve spaces area installed and establishing under maintenance.
