39 Bayview Road is a residential infill project for Solovey featuring a new local reserve and playground set against the backdrop of the neighbouring D'Angelo Estate Vineyard in Officer.
The site is located on a hillside which required careful attention to levels and grading to ensure appropriate site access was achieved for local residents. A curved path planted with Red Maples flanks a wide active open space area and connects to adjoining streets and path networks within the development, maximise the pedestrian access and local walk-ability of the neighbourhood for all abilities and age groups.
The centre piece of the design is a new play space with a slide tower, climbing equipment and swings along with a shelter and picnic facilities all nestled within new native tree and shrub planting and feature mudstone rock edging.
RDLA prepared an initial Landscape Masterplan, subsequent detailed design drawings as well as helping to secure the required endorsement and approvals from Cardinia Shire Council. Our team also oversaw the tender and construction phases of the project and provided Contract Administration services through to completion in November 2023.
We're excited to see this green space come to life in the coming years and look forward to seeing the results as the surrounding houses are constructed within the development and the park becomes an important and valued part of a growing community.
